After Post Content is a plugin that does exactly what you think it might do… adds additional content to your post at the END of the post.
After Post Content is a plugin that does exactly what you think it might do… adds additional content to your post at the END of the post.BUT…
with a little twist.
You can customize the After Post Content box (as in style and what it looks like) and then add whatever content you want into the After Post Content box! How cool is that? Don’t worry, I’m going to show you exactly how easy this is to use and how it works. We’ve even made it super easy to add an opt-in form! All you need to do is click the After Post Content icon in your editor and a box opens up where all you need to do is cut and paste your opt-in code into the box and click save.
Before we jump into the video (because really, the plugin is so easy to use that we don’t need a ton of documentation) here are some suggestions for what you can put into an After Post Content box:
Opt-in form
Video
Product (e-commerce, to purchase)
Related Post (but don’t just put the post name, add in your featured image and your SEO friendly description)
A shout out! Share a snippet about someone else who inspired you or related content on another post
Audio – maybe you’re a new podcaster (like moi). Share a link to a relevant episode as it relates to your post
Kindle book – Whether or not this is a link to a book you wrote or someone else wrote, share a link to a relevant Kindle book
One thing you want to keep in mind when using the After Post Content plugin is some sort of strategy (novel idea, huh?). I would suggest taking some time (and this may take a few hours, but in the long run it will save you countless hours and missed opportunities) to set up a few different styles as well as a few ‘go-to’ pieces of content, such as:
- an opt-in form
- a product
- a link to a page, etc.
Save all of these on a text document so you can easily grab them and paste them into your After Post Content box so you don’t need to worry about coming up with ‘new’ ideas when writing new posts.
