When my uber fantastic hosting company, Flywheel, got in touch with me to see if I’d be interested in a running a contest where the winner gets an ENTIRE year of free hosting… of course I said yes! Mind you, with the way my life rolls I thought I was going to run this a week or so ago, but here we are… less than 10 days away from Christmas.

want to share with you is why I moved my site to Flywheel (this site), how happy I’ve been with the service and why I recommend them to all my clients.
After having had my site hacked on a VPS over at Hostgator and them not being able to fix the issue (I also moved back to a shared business account, which they still couldn’t get the issue fixed) I’d just about had it and started mentioning that I was looking for a new host. I had tried another WordPress managed hosting company and they were great, but at the time I was self-hosting all my videos and had them installed in a sub-directory (ex: http://thewpchick.com/videos) but couldn’t do that with that host, so I stayed with Hostgator. After getting emails from readers that they were getting warnings from their security software that my site wasn’t safe I didn’t really care what it was going to take… I knew I needed to move my site.
Enter Flywheel.
Aaah…
I was referred to Flywheel from a friend via twitter, got in touch, was granted access to an account before they officially launched and my site was moved in less than 2 days!!!

As someone who creates sites for clients one of my favorite features with Flywheel is that I can set up a client site through my account (for free) and when it’s complete I simply send the client an email to take over the billing. Done. (It’s really that simple!)
