The absolute easiest way to change the order in which your pages or categories appear is to upload the plugin for both of these. Just go to your plugins menu in your dashboard, select ‘Add New’, then type in ‘My Page Order’ (and then after installing that one do the same for ‘My Category Order’).
Once both plugins are installed and activated, all you have to do is go to your dashboard, and under Posts, you’ll see that the plugin for the categories is listed there. Select the menu item ‘My Category Order’. It will look like this:

Your ‘Page Order’ plugin will be found in your dashboard under ‘Pages’.
