Hide a Page PLUGIN!

hide_pageThis is one of the reasons I LOVE WordPress! I had been searching for a plugin that would do this – without much luck. The plugin that I had found wasn’t compatible with 2.7, so I went back to the forums for StudioPress themes to see what I could find there- which is where I found the code to ‘exlcude’ certain page numbers from the navigation bar, thus hiding pages. So I did a few tests of hidden pages and figured problem sovled. Which is was, but anytime I can avoid going into code, I’m all for it!

Then along comes a fabulous reader, Randy Hoyt, who pointed out that there IS a plugin that will hide pages and it’s all managed through the dashboard. WOO HOO! Thanks a TON Randy! The name of the plugin is called pagemash and it’s as easy to use as the drop and drag ‘My Category order’ and ‘My Page Order’.  Here’s a screenshot of what this plugin looks like when activated. You won’t see any hidden pages because my hidden pages are currently excluded in code- but you can tell how simple this plugin is to use:

PageMash Plugin

You can download the plugin directly here or just go to your Plugins dropdown menu, select Add New and type in pagemash. The plugin should come up first. Enjoy! And thanks again to Randy Hoyt for the great tip!
